The Queensland Labor government is making another attempt to decriminslise abortion in our state.  Please sign the official parliamentary petition against this.

Official parliamentary petition against abortion

Whether you have signed the petition or not, you can still visit your MP or write a short hand-written letter conveying your concerns and asking your MP to vote against legislation brought forward from the QLRC inquiry process.

When the 2016-2017 petitions against the Pyne bills to decriminalise abortion and make it 'open season' on not-yet-born babies closed, the results were:

Petition against the first Pyne bill (decriminallisation of abortion): 23,869
Petition against the second Pyne bill (associated changes to other laws): 31,735

A total of 55,604 signees against the Pyne bills have been collected via the official parliamentary e-petitions.

Queenslanders are firmly against abortion.
